Fastrack Training Course [ Being updated]
...12 sessions of 50 minutes each with Jack Nieporte as the e-instructor. This is interactive and similar to a university tele-course.
With this e-tele-course, all of the forms, contracts, schedules, etc. come with it; e.g. most of the e-docs listed in our product list along with scores of other critical to management, associated information, ideas, techniques and JNA methodologies. This is a very important course.
This course is a must-have for any company seeking to significantly cut their house or apartment/condo project's time down. We can almost (much depends upon you and your staff when it comes to field implementation) guarantee our clients that we can teach them to build as fast as they would ever want to build--no exceptions! This course is the foundation of learning and understanding of how and why people who do this all the time, think and act.
Fastrack building is not for everyone. It takes learning, practice and patience. Unfortunately for the rank and file builders out there, many are predisposed to major impatience when doing something. This is not a quick-fix and probably not for them. we are looking for those who are serious about improvement in this core area of building: construction-production management.
This course teaches one how to think right and then to act right when it comes to the job at hand. We have been there and done that a gazillion times :) so don't worry, we are there with you every step of the way if you need us to be. Superintendent Training Course
This course is very comprehensive. Possibly the most detailed from a simple to understand perspective but with tremendous detail, that has ever been written for the every-day job site superintendent.
The course is to teach a superintendent how to manage his project, not build one; and there is a huge difference in scope and levels of detail one compared to the other. The Unions have developed some wonderfully written course materials for their members but these are not readily available to a non-union member.
Our course is POWERFUL! It was written in 1887-1989 in cooperation with the HBI (Home Builders Institute) the educational arm of the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) located in Washington, DC. It originally was set to be the main staple of their new accreditation program for their members. JNA declined their offer to acquire these contents of the course for confidential reasons.
Here is a sample of a Table of Contents page for just one of thirty-two such lessons. This one deals with Estimating. The superintendent in many small companies has to wear a couple of different hats, one of which might be that of an estimator. We address that possibility in the course. And then here is another sample of what the training course lessons look like. Here are a few pages within the estimating lesson.
Here are some additional pages in another lesson. This lesson is on Blueprint reading that superintendents should know how to do. Reading 'plans' and spec's is a crucial element of learning for a superintendent.
We have simply chosen randomly the examples provided. Remember, there are over 700 original (work by Mr. Nieporte) pages in this course. It is massive in its undertaking as two more volumes are planned. Part I is 16 individual lessons with tests and answer keys provided for you. Part II is another 16 lessons with the same test and answer key information for you to use.
This course if viewed by senior estimators may look too elementary, but we have certainly trained senior building inspectors, long-time superintendents and many others in the principles and practices of becoming a proactive and trained construction superintendent. Mr. Nieporte has seen in his nearly 35 years in the industry about every kind of construction manager and/or superintendent, and believe us when we say, even the seasoned ones make huge mistakes in their management judgment every day on their jobs.
